What this site is, what it is not, and the honest limits of what a publication with no test lab and no credentials can be relied on for.

What this site is
An independent publication about humidifiers. It compiles specifications published by manufacturers, computes daily output and cost of ownership from those figures, and links every source so the working can be checked.
What this site is not
- Not a testing laboratory. We have not tested any product described here and we own none of them. Every ranking page says so.
- Not a source of medical advice. Nobody involved holds a medical credential. Several pages touch health-adjacent questions and every one of them stops at that line and points at a clinician.
- Not professional HVAC, electrical or building advice. Installing a whole-house humidifier means cutting into a furnace plenum and making water and electrical connections. That is work for a qualified contractor.
- Not a retailer. We sell nothing, hold no stock and handle no payment. Every purchase is a contract between you and the retailer.
Accuracy, and its limits
Every figure here was read from the source cited beside it on the date shown, and we make a genuine effort to keep it right. We cannot guarantee it. Manufacturers revise specifications and product pages without notice, prices change constantly, and arithmetic contains mistakes.
Before buying, check the current specification on the manufacturer’s page and the current price at the retailer. If you find something here that is wrong, tell us - the correction process is in the editorial policy and we would rather know.
Use at your own risk
Content is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Slate Mill Group is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of this site or reliance on its content, including any purchase decision made on the basis of it.
That is a legal formality and there is also a practical version, which is more useful: a sizing figure here is arithmetic on published manufacturer data, not a measurement, and it cannot account for how leaky your house is or how cold your winter gets. It is a starting point. Treat it as one.

- Do not scrape the site at a volume that degrades it for other readers.
- Do not republish content wholesale.
